Retrofit Stripping Wheel


Akron Special Machinery has developed an improved stripping wheel design for X-Frame tire uniformity and tire geometry machines.

The improved retrofit design utilized “THK” style linear bearings to provide a rigid sliding member to resist the side forces present when stripping the tire from the tire machine rim and directly replaces the original design.

This improved design has been in use on machines around the world for several years. The plant feedback confirms reduced maintenance and improved stripping.
